Now after I do my cardio.
Then I do my strength training.
Now today.
I'm doing lower body.
And strength training is important because it builds muscle mass.
Now ladies.
This doesn't mean you have to bulk up.
It 's a good thing.
When you lift weights.
Your muscle fibers break down.
When the muscle rebuilds itself.
It becomes stronger.
The more muscle mass you build.
The more calories your body will burn.
Even at rest.
Now a lot of people don't like to do machines like this.
But I gotta tell you.
They're really fun.
So if you're never done them before.
When you go to the gym.
Make sure you check with the trainers to make sure you're got proper form.
Aaah.
It 's burning.
And I finish each workout with a nice stretch.
Not only because it feels good.
But it improves my flexibility which helps me avoid injuries.
Now my whole routine takes me about an hour. |
