the living room is a circle, and where it intersects with the kitchen, it's a circle off the center.
the home's concentric design is even repeated in the kitchen block table that Wright designed for the room.
Do you see how it's a miniature version of the house itself?.
A large circle with a smaller circle intersecting here? So this would be like the kitchen, and this would be...
Right.
A bit larger, yeah.
the kitchen, the living room, or the living room and the fireplace.
the circular pattern continues throughout the kitchen.
the steel topped counter, and the beautifully refurbished Philippine mahogany cabinetry repeat the theme.

Even the appliances accommodate the round space.
but Linda did desire a few upgrades of the room's semi-circle windows.
they didn't open at all, and I knew that I love to cook, and I was going to be in the kitchen a lot, and I could not handle the windows not being able to open.
So we had them all replaced with the original hope windows that were originally designed for the house.
took a drawing, and they, they custom made them for in here.
Was it tough to find people to actually put in a beautifully curved stainless steel counter, or refurbish these cabinets, or do some of the work that needed to be done? I was just lucky in finding, it was meant for me to be in this house, so everything just worked right, and just pulled together.
So everything we really thought was going to be a big problem, we were real fortunate, it ended up not really being a problem.
