If you had any doubt when you got off the train and walked into that incredible concourse, you knew it was the center of the world and you knew this was the place you wanted to go to.
It encourages movement and yet has a sort of stately dignity at the same time.
It 's sublime.
It reminds you of the greatness of human ambition.
When we build so much beyond what we have to and we do it not to glorify a king, say, as in a palace or something like that, but to glorify everybody.
This is a building of extraordinary glory, but is public in the deepest sense of the word, and it belongs to everybody.
